Extracurricular Activities

A nurturing environment for development of Kindergarten readiness skills

Kadimah's extracurricular programs are designed to challenge and develop each student's abilities to the fullest. Our school is committed to promoting students who pursue new talents, and enjoy healthy, social activities that promote creative skills, excellent sportsmanship, ethical behavior and integrity.

Athletics

Healthy Bodies - Healthy Minds!

There's no denying that all students benefit from physical activity. At Kadimah, we encourage students to develop and improve athletic abilities through teamwork, commitment, and good sportsmanship. Competition is balanced with the development of positive self-esteem of each student, producing well-rounded individuals who contribute to the school and the larger community to which Kadimah belongs.

Our new school includes a beautiful, fully-equipped gymnasium for indoor sports. Outdoor facilities include a fully-enclosed courtyard and climber, soccer fields and a baseball diamond.

At Kadimah, every student who wants to participate on an athletic team is given the opportunity. Middle School students compete with other private schools in league sports, including basketball and soccer. In addition, middle school students have opportunities to join special elective sports clubs such as Tae Kwan do, aerobics, and other team sports.

Field Trips

We enjoy enhancing our student's educational experiences with field trips that inspire and motivate them to learn about current events, art, literature, history and the world around them. Our younger students enjoy visits to local farms, museums, businesses, students's theatre and more. Middle school students enjoy day trips to Toronto and an annual eighth grade trip to Washington D.C.

Electives

Cooking club, knitting, calligraphy, choir, reading groups, drama, music, newspaper club, language clubs and more! We offer our students many opportunities to develop new interests, both at recess and after school.

Study Clubs

Our dedicated teachers extend their love of teaching to after school clubs, offered to all middle school students. To help students achieve higher academic grades, complete missed tests, catch up on homework, or review lessons, study clubs are offered daily, after school, and often include tutoring or mentoring assistance from Kadimah graduates who are now in college.

School Play

Every year Kadimah launches a full scale, student production. students showcase their talents, and benefit from the experience of working together, encouraging each other and enjoying the thrill of the theatre.

We're proud to show off our student's work and talents! Family and friends are always invited to join special assemblies, talent shows, roller skating parties, curriculum fairs, concerts, school plays, and holiday celebrations throughout the year.
