The Pearl and Mel Siegel Nursery School / Children 18 Months to Pre-K

Anurturing environment for development of Kindergarten readiness skills

Children thrive in Kadimah’s Nursery School where they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Kindergarten-readiness skills are developed by nurturing professionals who are sensitive and responsive to children’s individual learning styles. They provide positive first classroom experiences. A developmentally-appropriate curriculum fosters exploration, and experimentation, empowering children to become active learners and creative thinkers. Through interactive play with peers and teachers, children learn pre-math and pre-reading skills using a wide array of education materials. Individual talents and accomplishments are encouraged, cultivated, recognized and celebrated.

A typical day in the Pearl and Mel Siegel Nursery School includes:

  • Activities that promote social, cognitive, emotional, language, physical and self-help skills
  • Integration of math, science, and social studies
  • Community guests as well as field trips enrich classroom curriculum
  • Fresh air and exercise in the ADA certified enclosed Rosenhoch Family Playground
  • Reading time with our librarian, in the Rabbi Isaac and Henriette Klein Library
  • Specialists in creative movement, music, Hebrew and technology
  • Basic computer skills in the state-of-the-art Rose Meyer Media Center
