Safi Netter

Hebrew lead, Ganon Kadimah Pre-School

Morah Safi Netter is one of the Ganon Kadimah preschool teachers at Kadimah Academy, focusing particularly on the Hebrew immersion component of the program.

Morah Netter was born in Israel, to the children of Holocaust survivors, who came to Israel before the founding of the Jewish State in 1948. She grew up just south of Tel Aviv with her older brother and younger sister, and her entire family remains in Israel.

She studied architecture in college, and then served in the Israeli Army, where she practiced her craft.

When she came to the United States, Morah Netter taught at the Pressman Academy in Los Angeles, where she was trained in the pedagogical techniques of Hebrew immersion. She was instrumental in developing and implementing a remarkable curriculum of Hebrew instruction, and has brought all of her skills and creativity to Kadimah.

She and her husband, Rabbi Perry Netter of Temple Beth Tzedek, have two children, Nadav and Sivan, both of whom are Kadimah students. They live in Amherst.
